Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin, Ireland on November 11, 1966. She is a model and an Irish actor. Following her debut in a feature film with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to appear as a an archaeologist who is sympathetic to Nazis, Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Donevan in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) also play roles. Photographer approached Doody Doody decided to take up modeling and subsequently the profession of commercial modeling. Doody was very cautious about doing glamour or nude work. The same rule continued into the acting profession. After being noticed by the casting directors of a James Bond new film, Doody was cast in a minor portion of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she played with Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most notable performance to date was her role as Austrian Nazi sympathizer as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody played alongside Sean Connery in the film, as Indy's dad. Doody's roles included an appearance in a TV film version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 as well as a booklet on the Holocaust and a short film called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. in 2010 Doody played a role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). She was also to be the main character for The Asphyx remake, but this project did not go ahead. The actress began her two seasons of the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. On 21 November 2018 she was honored by the Almeria tierra de cine award and was awarded a star in Almeria Walk of Fame.
